Paint correction prices: what to ask

Ask what the quoted correction includes

Businesses may offer one-step and multi-step polishing packages. Those labels alone do not tell you how much improvement is achievable on your car. Ask the detailer to inspect the paint, explain the proposed work and describe its limits.

Separate preparation, polishing and protection

Check whether washing and decontamination are included, whether the quoted polishing price depends on condition, and whether a sealant or coating is separate. Compare the complete written package rather than adding assumptions to a low starting price.

Be specific about the outcome

Describe the scratches, swirls or finish issues that matter to you. Ask for an explanation of what can and cannot be improved. A price listing is not an assessment of paint thickness or a guarantee of defect removal.
